Join Chef Daniel for his favorite class, Ayurvedic Cooking for Fall. You'll learn to prepare foods to balance your body and mind, and also gain an understanding of the basics of Ayurvedic theory which include the 5 elements, 3 doshas (mind/body types), and the 6 tastes: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent, and astringent. This class is essential for those seeking a more harmonious lifestyle.

These workshops are part of a comprehensive lifestyle course Chef Daniel is teaching with his partner, Nicole Malignaggi, RN and Yoga Therapist. OCTOBER 15: Gourmet Cooking with Seaweed - 6:15 PM

Seaweed is one of the most mineral rich and detoxifying foods on the planet. In this class you’ll learn about some of the health properties of seaweed as well as preparing them in simple yet delicious recipes. You’ll learn to prepare nori pakoras which resemble oysters with that special essence of the sea. We’ll make a nourishing meat-free split pea soup. In addition to a salad and dessert, I’ll discuss a handful of ways you can prepare seaweed in your everyday fare.

In this class we’ll indulge in the opportunity to prepare and eat some savory Italian treats. We’ll make homemade gluten-free gnocchi, homemade ravioli, homemade crepelle (Italian Crepes), and homemade sauces. Did I mention homemade? See you there!

NOVEMBER 14 - 16: Holiday Vegetarian Cooking Weekend

A nourishing weekend for the body and soul.

Here you will learn to create simple, delicious, & nutritious meals from organic, seasonal ingredients. In November we focus on creating a healthy and mouth-watering vegetarian feast for the Holidays.

The weekend begins Friday evening, 8 PM with a discussion on nutrition. Come have all your questions on food answered! Two hands-on cooking workshops as well as Yoga & Meditation are also included. The weekend concludes on Sunday at noon.

Looking for some gluten-free free treats to bake up for the holiday? Then join Chef Daniel in preparing yummy cookies, soufflé, and galettes. In addition to the actual menu items you’ll gain a foundational understanding of which flours, grains, and natural sweeteners to choose and use. We’ll use no white sugar! You’ll learn some potential health benefits of a gluten-free lifestyle as well.
